What is a Glassbreak Detector?

A glassbreak detector is a device with a highly sensitive microphone that can detect the frequency of broken glass. Glassbreak detectors can distinguish between different sound frequencies to recognize the sound or vibration of shattering glass, which if detected sends an alarm. Glassbreak detectors are a critical part of a full security system alongside motion detectors and door/window sensors, and are often times overlooked.
